JULY 8, 2023 NEW YORK ADVENTURES!
What a beautiful day in July the heat everything so I get myself on a train to New York City because there's a street fair and because I just want to go and talk to strangers and and absorb the Heat and the smells and the energy I need that every once in awhile it's like a fix for me I don't do drugs I don't do alcohol I do New York to do it I don't need to do anything else just get me to New York let me walk let me see the sites well there was a street fair again I love my street fairs you know I love the food and everything else that goes with it the energy the people I talk with people and it's really nice so I found a street fair 42nd 6th Avenue to 54th although it wasn't 2:54 it was more towards 50th I don't know what happened to the four blocks but it just wasn't there so I began my adventure on the street fair smile like crazy it was really quite cool loved it I got my arepa I also got a few other things too I wanted a gyro but it cost $15 $15 also I didn't get that but I did have a great time while I talk to people and vendors and stuff I observed a lot of people …Oh I forgot the adventures on the train too I always have Adventures somewhere okay so I'm like a magnet why is it that there are 10 seats available around me but somebody's got to sit next to me suddenly this man sits next to me with shorts on hairy legs as possible has a mask on I'm watching him long hair and he takes out a little wipey thing and wipes the seat and wipes the everything and then polishes it up with some kind of disinfectant spray I so great a germaphobe and he's got to sit next to me there are empty seats available but where does he say he's this next to me so I asked him would you like me to wear a mask and he said no thank you though I said okay I said because I respect that if you want me to wear one I have one and that was it and then he got off at the next couple of stops I'm a magnet! As soon as we hit Grand Central you could tell by the temperature and also by the smell I began to smile as we hit Harlem first and then when we got to Grand Central I just took a deep breath in to smell that those exhaust fumes or whatever fumes they are underground I am New York and I've been since the 90s maybe in my other life if that's possible I was from New York I don't know but I got off the train walked new where I was I felt like I was somebody again I haven't felt like I was somebody in a long time but I am and then my Adventures began from 42nd Street to 6th Avenue I love food and especially Arepas! Oh and I got something special too because as I was walking back to the train station I saw a food truck selling Colombian food I got this hot dog and I love my weenies LOL LOL loaded with pineapple ham a coleslaw and other stuff it was and potato chips too and it was so good and heavy I loved it I took it home with me and when I I had my Spanish food and I had my hot dog yes all week long I eat salad so on the weekends I can eat!
Sometimes I wish I could photograph the people that I think are a little bit crazy but I was the type of photographer that did take photos from a distance and many times it was those people that would run after me and say hey give me money for that photo or why you taking my photo okay so there was this man and people that walked by he said by me something to eat by me a drink buy me this buy me that I was just watching them and then he said to one lady that was walking with her kids I don't like your attitude of course she looked at him what she shouldn't have done no eye contact ever for these people you should never do eye contact and he said something else and she just kept on walking and I thought he was going to come after her but he didn't you just asked the next person buy me something I said buy me something you white lady buy me something you and the wheelchair buy me something so I kept on walking he didn't approach me that was all right another man arguing with a lady who was selling fruit in a cup now it's big his belly was out he had no shirt on men like that should not be wearing no shirt he was swearing up a storm at her I don't know what happened but I was like oh time to go to another side of the road I don't want any trouble with me walking by or taking a photograph So I had about had enough walked back to Grand Central got myself on a train with all my take out food yeah I got some Puerto Rican food New York style can't beat it and I was happy no one sat next to me on the train coming back I got home I smelled like New York I don't want to wash that shirt the shirt smells so good it smells New York I smell New York I wish that I can bottle that smell and sell it that would be so cool thanks for reading my blog and being a part of my life !
